About The Studio

Originally located in the finished basement of Laura’s home, the shop got a massive upgrade in February of 2022, when we officially opened our new studio in Chickering Plaza. There is a cozy waiting room, three dressing rooms, two stages and plenty of room to accommodate all of the beautiful gowns we alter daily.

The studio is open 9-5 Tuesday and Friday, 12-7 Thursday, and 9-1 Saturday. We are by appointment only from February 1st- November 1st.

About Laura...

Laura was born and raised in Bonito, a small village in sunny, southern Italy, and the hometown of noted Italian designer, Salvatore Ferragamo. After attending local schools and working on the family farm, Laura DiBlasi attended and graduated with honors from the Scuola di Taglio e Cucito di LoPriore, a fashion design and tailoring school, in Calore, Italy where she learned her trade.

After working for an Italian clothing company as a seamstress and designer, Laura married in 1997 and came to the United States to live. She immediately began to work as a seamstress in a busy bridal shoppe. A couple of years later, she opened her own studio within a local dry cleaners in North Andover. For 20 years beginning in 2000, Laura, in order to raise her three children, operated a studio out of her home. Laura has been honored with feature articles in newspapers and magazines throughout the area.

While she and her talented assistants specialize in custom-altering bridal and prom gowns to fit perfectly for the big day, she is able to handle just about any type of alterations for men, women, and children. She prides herself on providing her clients with superb attention and care, a warm, welcoming, and reassuring demeanor, and premier skills.

"My team and I are here to provide you with knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled service in a warm and welcoming environment. I am honored to have a team of very gifted seamstresses, and our client care specialist. We are all here ready to make your experience as seamless as possible. "
